Ever ready to soar skywards, to leap, fly and bounce in harmony with the player, these three faithful companions lead lives that are as brief as they are intense. Their days unfold in a succession of adventures, challenges, moments of triumph and, from time to time, a few setbacks.

Sometimes tucked safely into a pocket, sometimes left beside the court, or gently cradled in a player's hand, they answer every movement with unwavering loyalty. They rise to the sound of cheers, embrace each rally with delight, and celebrate, alongside the player, the winning point in a burst of shared joy. Tireless athletes, they give the very best of themselves until the very end.

Now the match is over. Resting quietly upon the table, they savour a well-earned moment of peace. Patiently, they wait for life to offer them a new beginning.

The luckiest will become the devoted playmates of a mischievous kitten or an energetic puppy, allowing their adventures to continue in a different guise.

The most weary, meanwhile, will gently leave the court, their mission fulfilled with courage and generosity.

Like them, we all face trials that shape who we become. They may leave us weary from time to time, yet they always enrich us. And when the time comes to rest, it is not an ending, but the reward for a journey travelled with passion — a life fully lived.
